The Herbalist

December 2005

Dear Everyone

Thank you all so much for all the good work, dedication and commitment to the things we have shared with you this year.

Thank you also to the many of your who sent us cards and gifts – it was quite overwhelming and impossible to reply to you all.

Considering the time of year, we thought you might to reflect on a few quotes that we find stimulate the mind and soul. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually who are you NOT to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people wont feel secure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. Its not just in some of us: its in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others”.

Marianne Williamson as spoken by Nelson Mandela at his inaugural speech in 1994.

“People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centred; forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, others may be jealous; be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway.”

- by Mother Teresa

“And this is what our creator decided
There will be plants growing on Earth
And each will grow and mature
According to its own season

They will come from the earth and will mature and be available
As medicines for people
Who move about on the Mother Earth”
